The Taija Chi Ruler

Taija Chi Ruler / Tai chi Ruler in China Town in Boston – Sifu Donald Wong

The Taija Chi Ruler or Tai Chi Ruler, an ancient form of QiGong, is used for healing the body, and is important to me because it enables me to cultivate and circulate Qi throughout my body. I began using this form of QiGong because of endless sports injuries that have incurred in my body from strenuous exercising and combat martial arts. I was taught how to use the Taija Chi Ruler from Sifu Donald Wong of Chinatown in Boston.

This amazing tool for practicing QiGong, the Taija Chi Ruler, is made of light weight wood and is twelve inches long. The wood is not treated with any paint or stain leaving the color of the wood all natural looking. Also, by keeping the wood all natural, the human body can receive the natural elements from it through the palms of your hands.

The shape of the rule has different widths. The ends are the widest part of the stick; this is where you gently place your hands. As you get closer to the middle of the ruler it begins to get fatter. There is a thin line separation from the ruler to the center and in the center of the ruler there is a ball like shape resembling a golf ball. The ends of the ruler are smooth and rounded, and the sizes of the ends are around the size of the palm of a hand. Along the side of the Taija Chi Ruler is the signature of Sifu Fong Ha in Chinese writing.

I use the ruler by holding it in my hands at the top of my abdomen. I will exhale and push the ruler out directly in front of me. I will inhale bringing the ruler low and moving it in a downward circular motion. I am keeping my mind relaxed, and not thinking about anything but my breathing. I will continue this until it becomes comfortable for me, at which time, and work it in the other direction. With my hands at my upper abdomen, I breathe out moving my hands downward in a circular motion. I inhale bringing my hands back to my upper abdomen in a circular motion, finishing back at the upper abdomen. I repeat this until it is not longer comfortable. This is just one of the many exercises that I have for the Taija chi Ruler. I purchased my first Taija Chi Ruler from Sifu Donald Wong, and he began teaching me an ancient QiGong form and thus, enabling me to use this ruler to heal my body injuries. After I am finished using the
ruler I simply keep it in my gym bag, where I keep most of my martial arts gear.

After practicing the Taija Chi Ruler for about four months, I started feeling less pain in my injuries. During my practice I feel sensations throughout my body. This is the Qi flowing and cultivating. It has now been eleven months since I have
started practicing the Taija Chi Ruler, and my injuries have healed by 80%. I am estimating that within one year I will be working out at 100% intensity.

The Taija Chi Ruler has been used for thousands of years to promote good health by cultivating and circulating the Qi throughout the body. Proper Qi cultivation and circulation is believed to heal injuries and promote good health. This ruler is vital to my health, because it is one of the QiGong forms I am using to heal my sports injuries. I practice the Taija Chi Ruler and other QiGong forms a total of three hours a day. When my injuries are totally healed I will continue to utilize the Taija Chi Ruler as part of my life long personal health program.
